A machine that is online earns nothing until its GPUs are listed. A listing offers one GPU model on one machine, on one tier, at your rate. Customers only see listings on machines that are online and passed their GPU check.

Your rate and the customer price

You set your rate in US dollars per GPU-hour. The customer price is worked out from it so that Runcrate keeps 30% of what the customer pays, rounded up to the cent. The dashboard shows both for every listing. At a rate of $1.95:
You get $1.95 per GPU-hour. Customers pay $2.79; Runcrate keeps $0.84 (30% of what the customer pays).
You earn for every minute a GPU is rented: your rate, times the GPUs in the rental, times the hours. An 8-GPU rental at $1.95 earns you $15.60 an hour. A rate change applies to new rentals only. A rental keeps the rate it started with until it ends.

The tiers

Customers pay less and can be asked to give the GPU back. You can take the GPUs back at any time, after the notice you set (2 to 60 minutes).
  • Open to every host under the Host Partner Terms.
  • Set the notice on the listing. Without one, it is 10 minutes.
  • Take GPUs back on a machine on Hosts sends the notice to each spot rental on it. The customer’s VM is told within 5 seconds, and the rental runs, and earns, until the notice ends.
  • You can unlist a spot listing at any time. A spot rental already running continues until it ends or you take the GPUs back.

What on-demand and reserved commit you to

Signing the Host Agreement adds these, for every on-demand or reserved GPU while it is rented:
  • 99.5% availability in each calendar month it is rented.
  • 72 hours notice for planned maintenance, given in the dashboard. Runcrate tells the customers. Planned maintenance counts as downtime.
  • No taking back. If you take back a rented on-demand or reserved GPU, or miss 99.5% in two months of any three, Runcrate may take you back to spot only and suspend your listings.
Downtime on any tier is handled one way: the customer isn’t billed for it, and Runcrate takes back what you earned for that time. It is never invoiced. See Payouts.

Sign the Host Agreement

On Listings, the Sign the Host Agreement card opens once Runcrate has finished checking your company. Choose Read and sign, pick on-demand, reserved or both, read the agreement and sign with your name, title and company. Your signed copy stays on the Listings page to download.

Add a listing

On Listings, choose Add listing: A listing’s machine, GPU model and tier are fixed. To offer the same GPUs on another tier, add another listing. You can edit the rate and terms, unlist and list again, or delete a listing.

Datacenter and Community

Customers see each machine as Community or Datacenter. Every new machine starts as Community. Runcrate moves a machine in a professional datacenter to Datacenter after checking it. Your rate and the customer price stay the same; only reserved terms need a Datacenter machine. Customers see community and spot machines only when they turn them on at launch. Runcrate doesn’t promise that any listing will be rented.
